Frequently asked questions
FAQ
We are very interested in trying out but I would love some more information about what this would look like for our family. Do you have the schedule from this past season so I could see it?
This is going to be our first year as an organization so we do not have a previous schedule. We also will not the know the schedule for next year until January as tounrments are entered in USSSA.com However, all tournaments are held on the weekends. First games are usually Friday evening and can last the entire weekend. We are looking to play 6-8 tournaments this coming year from April through the end of July. We will also require to play with Milwood little league regular season as to create a team to play in the Little League world series tournament. In all, games would be Tuesday, Thursday for Milwood little league, and tournment play on Friday, Saturday and Sunday(depending on wins and loses) for 13u/5070. For 12u/Majors Monday, Wednesay for Milwood Little League and Friday Saturday Sunday (depending on wins and losses) for tournament play. This also includes practices in the winter at our indoor facility on Saturdays. We are asking for a big commitment, but also understand that families need their summer. We are willing to work with families as long as advanced notice is given.
Do you provide coaching?
Yes, we have qualified coaches to help improve skills and techniques and can offer private instruction. We have a few former minor league and college players willing to do 1on1 work as well.
Do you have scholarships available?
We currently do not have any scholarships availble. However, we will fundraise before the season starts for those players who make the team!
How many will make the team?
Our initial roster is for 11 players, however if the manager would like we can have a team of 12 or 13.
Are you affiliated with Milwood Little League?
No, we are not part of Milwood Little League although we do require to play in their league. The rules for travel baseball are slightly different and the competition is a little more intense. to look up the rules you can visit USSSA.com
